Colours on the Clyde

Sold

Oil on 30x30cm (12x12") panel, mounted and framed.

A glorious few hours spent on the banks of the River Clyde on a sunny autumn day at the New Lanark World Heritage site. The river powered the huge woollen mill and village founded by Robert Owen in 1785, and was operational until 1968!

Autumnal hues are reflected in the slow river, and the play of light adds depth to this serene scene.
