Colours on the Clyde

Oil on 30x30cm (12x12") panel, mounted and framed.

A glorious few hours spent on the banks of the River Clyde on a sunny autumn day at the New Lanark World Heritage site. The river powered the huge woollen mill and village founded by Robert Owen in 1785, and was operational until 1968!

Earthy tones and vibrant autumnal hues are reflected in the depths of the sleepy river. The subtle play of light on the surface of the water adds depth and dimension to this serene scene.
