Oil on 30x30cm (12x12") panel, mounted and framed.
A study from my own garden. Every year I look forward to these appearing in the flower bed. The blue eryngiums contrast beautifully with the yellow tones around them. To emphasise their thistly quality I have scored through the paint to suggest spines. One of my favourites!
