This is The Queen Mother's Garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens here in Edinburgh. Named in honour of Elizabeth II's mother, who was born in Scotland, this formal garden is full of pastel pinks and purples. The path leads to a memorial pavilion, lined with shells, visible at the top of the picture. My day was punctuated with lovely conversations with families enjoying the gardens in the sun.
