Towards the Sea, Arran

Oil on 30x30cm (12x12") panel, mounted and framed.
A very hot day, for Scotland,  which gives the sea that extraordinay colour. I sat at the estuary at Whiting Bay to paint. I had to wear my overalls and hat for fear of getting burnt. The colours of the beach, water and seaweed have an abstract quality which I want to explore further.
