Another day at one of my favourite places, beside the lily pond at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh. Towards the end of the summer the lily pads start to turn to shades of red and gold, but still produce these startling lilies. I rather like the colour scheme of this one, autumnal shades punctuated with the bright white of the blooms. 
This small picture is finished in one of my new deep, off-white frames.
