A dear friend recommended I visited Glenwhan Gardens, in the south west of Scotland, as they knew I would love it. I spent a marvellous day here, mostly by the side of the loch looking over to this planted hillside. I was attracted by the colours in the striking reflections and the cross-weave of lily pads on the surface of the water. 
I can't wait to return for another visit - so much waiting to be painted!
A border of green and a deep, off-white frame complete this painting.
