We are lucky to have a large variety of apple trees in the garden, planted many years ago by folk who knew what they were doing. The trees produce fruit all through the season, both eaters and cookers. But the best time is when the trees are in full blossom - a heavenly lattice of pink and white petals. The loose, painterly style and dynamic play of light bring the blooms to life, while the serene blue background adds a touch of peace to the overall composition.
