The River Tyne slowly meanders its way through East Lothian, where I used to live. This is one of the spots where you can clamber down and stand on the stony river bed at low water. It gives you the impression of being part of the river itself, surrounded by lush foliage. This was a special day in late summer, the fields already touched with gold.
