The Last Day of Snow

What a strange beauty there is to be found in thick ice and snow. Before the thaw set in I managed to get out painting again, this time in Forthquarter Park, in Edinburgh. It was bitterly cold, and I felt sorry for the swans, ducks and moorhens, who had only a small section of water free from the ice.
